Hayley Orantia is an American actress, musician and singer. One of her most well-known characters is Erica Goldberg who stars in "The Goldbergs," an American comedy show. Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. She says that music is always been her primary love. As she grew to 12 old, music was taken seriously enough that she began professional training. After some experimentation with writing songs, she recorded her album of songs at age fourteen. From that moment on she's never ever looked back. Orrantia was raised in the USA and yet she is of Hispanic origins. Even though she spoke only English as a child and never visited Mexico Orrantia is happy with her Hispanic heritage. Through studying Spanish and writing songs she strives to keep the culture alive. The most famous of these songs is "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was selected to audition for the X Factor's inaugural season, which aired in summer 2011. Her YouTube video was selected and she got four "yeses" which is a vote for the judges during The Seattle audition. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. But, three other female vocalists as well as her were grouped together to perform the rest of her songs. The group was eliminated at the fifth week during the live performances.
