Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model and animal rights advocate in the United States. Ali MacGraw is famous for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. While working as assistant to photographers, she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. Her two first films got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was nominated for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. In just three films, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women at the box office in history. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three occasions.
